You've just won or bought an iPhone, but don't know how to set it up? This task can be difficult, especially if you're used to the Android system, since the iOS interface is quite different and can be confusing at first. But no need to worry because setting up Apple's phones is quite easy to do. Check it out:

  1. To turn on the phone, press the power button until the Apple logo appears. Shortly after, a "hello" message in various languages will appear on the screen. When prompted, select a language. Now, choose the country and region. Remember that this data will affect information such as date and time displayed on the device.
  2. If you have another device running iOS 11 or higher, simply activate the "Quick Start" feature, bring the devices close together, and follow the remaining on-screen instructions. If you don't have another iOS 11 or higher device, click on "Set Up Manually".
  3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network, mobile network, or iTunes to proceed with the setup steps (important to insert a SIM card).
  4. You need to set up Face ID (facial recognition) or Touch ID (fingerprint). Both features offer more security for the user. Then, select "Continue" and follow the instructions. Next, set a passcode (six digits). Or go to "Passcode Options" to set a password with fewer digits.
  5. Restore from iCloud, iTunes, or an Android device backup. If you prefer, click on "Don't Transfer Apps & Data" to continue.
  6. Enter your Apple ID and password or click on "Forgot your password or don't have an Apple ID?" to create a login. With it, you have access to all Apple services.
  7. In the following steps, you choose whether or not to share information with app developers and allow updates to be automatic.
  8. Activate Siri and other services and features.
  9. Set up the "Screen Time" feature to know how much time you spend on the phone.
  10. Click on "Get Started" to start using the device.
