Hoje, 5 de outubro de 2015, marca o quarto aniversário da morte de Steve Jobs, o executivo visionário da Apple que concebeu o iPod e o iPhone. Como de costume, outros executivos da Apple estão aproveitando a data para homenagear Jobs.
O atual CEO da empresa, Tim Cook, tuitou hoje sobre o fundador da Apple:

De acordo com o Mashable, Cook também enviou um e-mail aos funcionários da empresa, no qual ele diz que “Steve era uma pessoa brilhante, e suas prioridades eram muito simples: ele amava sua família acima de tudo, ele amava a Apple e ele amava as pessoas com quem ele trabalhou tanto e conquistou tanto”.
Na rede interna da Apple, outros executivos, como Phil Schiller (vice presidente senior de marketing mundial), Eddy Cue (vice presidente senior de serviços e software de internet) e Andrea Jung (membro do conselho da empresa) também compartilharam memórias sobre o fundador da emrpesa.
De acordo com Cue, Jobs travava com seus uma relação semelhante à que existe entre parentes, e “era alguém que você nunca queria decepcionar”. Jung, por sua vez, disse de Jobs que ele era atencioso, carinhoso e “um verdadeiro amigo”.
Em seu e-mail aos colaboradores, Cook também pedia a todos que usassem o dia para lembrar dele. “Se você nunca conheceu Steve, você provavelmente trabalha com alguém que conheceu ou que estava aqui qundo ele liderava a Apple. Por favor pare um de nós hoje e pergunte como ele era. Muitos de nós postamos nossas lembranças pessoais na AppleWeb [intranet da empresa], e lhes recomendamos que façam o mesmo”.

Today marks four years since Steve passed away. On that day, the world lost a visionary. We at Apple lost a leader, a mentor, and many of us lost a dear friend.
Steve was a brilliant person, and his priorities were very simple. He loved his family above all, he loved Apple, and he loved the people with whom he worked so closely and achieved so much.
Each year since his passing, I have reminded everyone in the Apple community that we share the privilege and responsibility of continuing the work Steve loved so much.
What is his legacy? I see it all around us: An incredible team that embodies his spirit of innovation and creativity. The greatest products on earth, beloved by customers and empowering hundreds of millions of people around the world. Soaring achievements in technology and architecture. Experiences of surprise and delight. A company that only he could have built. A company with an intense determination to change the world for the better.
And, of course, the joy he brought his loved ones.
He told me several times in his final years that he hoped to live long enough to see some of the milestones in his children’s lives. I was in his office over the summer with Laurene and their youngest daughter. Messages and drawings from his kids to their father are still there on Steve’s whiteboard.
